An actress on the rise!
From Tennessee, Kailyn Andrews is becoming an actress to know. She’s also starting to make waves in the modeling industry, after her recent magazine feature.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Kailyn on her dream roles, advice to other actresses, and more!
Kailyn, you have been nurturing your craft as an actress from a really young age, could you tell us a little bit more about the moment you fell in love with acting?
K: “What happened was I was at school, and I was in my history class. We got done with work for the day so the teacher decided to let the class play on the computers that the school provided for us. So I was on the computer watch videos when I saw an ad about acting and that’s when I decided that I wanted to be a Actress.”
As we all know, you are not only an actress but also a singer and in 2018 you had your first debut as a Model! How was the experience of expanding your career to those areas?
K: “It was awesome! And I’ve been wanting to do it for a long time!”
How was the experience of being in the August Issue of Wild Child Magazine in 2021?
K: “It was an amazing experience! I saw on Instagram that they were looking for models to publish in the issue and I applied! And a couple weeks later, they sent me an email saying that I got selected. A month later, the magazine got published!”
Do you still sing by any chance? Or would you still be open to doing projects that are more musical?
K: “I don’t sing anymore and I might consider it.”
If you had to name three of your referent actors or actresses, who would they be and why?
K: “Emma Watson, Tom Holland, and Zendaya.”
Are there any genre of films you would love to act in? Any examples?
K: “Fantasy / Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Disney. And for Action / Marvel and Jurassic World.”
I am from Argentina and an actress/ producer myself, and always emphasize that my hometown helped me be the person I am today. Do you think growing up in Tennessee has helped you become the artist you are today? In what ways?
K: “Yes, it has helped me in a lot of ways like family and friends and growing up in a small town.”
Where do you see your career going in 5 years? Do you see yourself still modeling and singing, apart from acting?
K: “Hoping in 5 years to be a well known actress and model.”
By the way, congratulations on your latest role as Hannah Stockton in “ The Intentionality Of Inclusion” directed by Brandon Young! Is there any sneak peak, you can give us on your character and the project?
K: “It’s about teens that tries to learn to cope is disabilities.”
If you had to give an advice to other girls that are just starting off their careers from a young age the way you did all those years ago, what would be one advice you would say to them?
K: “Always be yourself. Listen to someone that’s willing to help you. And you can do anything that you want in life, as long as you believe in yourself and work hard for it.”
