An event we will be talking about for months!
Phenomenal Media, founded by the truly inspiring author and niece to Vice-President Kamala Harris, Meena Harris, recently hosted a lively party to celebrate the premiere of the highly-anticipated Amazon Prime series ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’.
The adaptation is based off of the brilliant novel of the same name written by Jenny Han, who you may recognize as the author of the New York Times Best-Selling ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ series.
The event hosted some of the most prominent female influencers, including ‘Gilmore Girls’ actress Lauren Graham and the star of the new series, Lola Tung. Also in attendance were some highly recognized advocates and philanthropists, from Deja Foxx to Chanel Miller.
“When we had the opportunity to do something for The Summer I Turned Pretty, the first thing we said is that we have to celebrate Jenny and Lola. Jenny, we are just in awe of you. I speak for so many people here to say that you are such an inspiration and we are so excited to support you and support the Summer I Turned Pretty. From prolific author and writer to executive producer and now your first time as showrunner, we’re just so proud to support you and congratulations to you and the whole team.” -Meena Harris, Phenomenal CEO & Founder
