This indie-artist is top-tier!
At just 18 years old, the newly graduated artist known as ‘Sarabean’ is quickly becoming a must-have on our playlists. Now, with over 100K+ streams on Spotify, Sarabean is back with her new album ‘please don’t let me be’.
We had the absolute honor of talking with Sarabean about her favorite song off of the new album, songwriting, and more!
When did your first realize that you wanted to pursue a music career?
S: “I’ve always wanted to be surrounded by music. however, my sophomore year of high school is when I started to release my songs and take music a bit more seriously.”
Tell us about your amazing new Album ‘please don’t let me be”.
S: “I started this album back in June of 2021 and knew I wanted to run with a theme. Threw out the process of it, I felt like there was a spooky vibe I wanted to run with, so when I reached out to the artist who made the cover for “please don’t let me be” we bounced off ideas of different imagery to match that theme.”
If you had to choose, what is your favorite song off of the Album and why?
S: “Funny how we change” is my favorite song off the album because it puts my perspective in an ugly light, and I think I needed to identify some of my unattractive traits.”
What is your songwriting process usually like?
S: “Usually, I’ll write a song on my guitar and later go onto logic and start recording.”
If you could collab with any artist on a song for your next project, who would it be and why?
S: “Jack DeMeo is an artist I’ve been intrigued with. He’s a very good writer and his voice is so clear and pleasant. doing something with him would be very cool.”
What has been your reaction to receiving over 100K+ streams on just Spotify alone?
S: “It’s crazy, I would never have expected so many people to have listened to my songs. I obviously wanted to put out music and have people listen, but I’m touched I’ve made it to this place where I can say that many people have.”
What are some of your biggest goals for your music career? Maybe a tour?
S: “Definitely touring, Live music is the thing I crave to be around because its all about being in the moment and being surrounded people of like mind, so going on tour and preforming is a dream.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
S: “You can follow me on Tiktok @sarasingstunes Instagram @sarabbean And YouTube @sarabean.”
