Actor Bryson Robinson On Dream Costars And ‘Donny’s Bar Mitzvah”

This young actor is a TV regular!

Bryson quickly caught our eye with her reoccurring role as ‘Chris’ in BRAT’s popular show “Mani”. He’s also known for his roles on ABC’s “Fresh Off The Boat” and BRAT’s “Chicken Girls”.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Bryson on first audition, SNL, and more!

Did you always aspire to become an actor? What was your first audition?

B: “Yes! When I was very young I wanted to be just like Steve Harvey and host gameshows and make people laugh. I have always loved to perform. I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to live out my dreams in Hollywood. My first audition was for a Party  City commercial and I booked it!!”

Do you think your role in the series Mani matches your character in real life?

B: “I feel like I have grown up with my character Chris. We have shared many firsts most notably the last season he and I had our first kiss  (on the cheek). Pretty cool! Also the first time I went go-kart riding was on set of Mani.”

How did you feel being the winner of Best Young Actor 15 & Under –  Web Performance for Mani?

B: “I was and am very honored and proud to be recognized by my peers  for the work on a show that I love. It is very awesome!”

How was your experience working in the Movie ‘Bar Mitzvah’?

B: “Donny’s Bar Mitzvah is one of the most fun sets I have worked. The setting of the movie is a Bar Mitzvah with dancing and just nonstop action and improv. I made a lot of good friends on that set. Super nice, professional and fun people to work with.”

Which is more challenging to work on: a TV series or a movie?

B:Well I’m still pretty young but have been in this industry for over 10  years so from my experience it’s more challenging to work on  movies because just as you form bonds and friendships with other co  stars it is time to wrap. With ongoing TV you get to develop your  character over long periods of time and just have the years to grow  with a character.”

If you could star in a show with any actor, who would it be and why?

B: “I get told a lot that I resemble Bradley Cooper. I would love to play his son in a movie or TV show. Also I would love to be in an Adam  Sandler or Will Ferrell film or on SNL. I love sketch comedy!”

What are your plans for the future and what do you hope to achieve?

B:My plans for the future are to continue to work steady in TV and film. I would like to branch out and maybe do some theatre if time permits. I love performing live and feeling the energy from an  audience.”

Where can we follow your amazing journey?

B: “Instagram @itsbrysonrobinson.”
