This LA-based singer is back with another hit!
With nearly 1 Million streams on Spotify alone, Brenzy is quicky climbing the ranks within the music industry. And now, she’s back with her second release of the year; a new bop by the name of ‘brunch’.
We had the absolute honor of talking with Brenzy on her songwriting process, dream collab, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
B: “I always knew I wanted to sing. I guess it was just something that was in me, but I knew I
wanted to pursue a career in music when I first saw Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never
documentary when I was 11. I saw how he climbed to the top and the work that he did to get
there, and I knew that I could do it. I never thought about what could come from me being a
singer until I saw that. It felt like that movie was showing me my future.”
Tell us about your amazing new single ‘brunch’.
B: “I’m so excited about the release of “brunch.” It’s so fun and bright, and my team and I had the
best time writing it. The song is about wanting to go to brunch with a group of girlfriends, and
pretty much just fantasizing about how it would be!”
What is your songwriting process usually like?
B: “My songwriting process changes all the time, but I usually come up with the lyrics and concepts
before melodies and musical elements. I always write about things going on in my life or ideas
that I have that are inspired by my life experiences. My co-writers help me piece together my
own ideas, and we all bounce ideas off of each other.”
If you could collab on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
B: “There are so many artists that I’d love to collab with, but I’d say that Silk Sonic is my number
one, at the moment. They have such a classic sound, and I think we both pull inspiration from
similar places, musically. I also think Jack Harlow and I could make a great song together. I love
his storytelling.”
What are some of your favorite aspects of performing?
B: “I love connecting with the audience. That’s probably my favorite part of performing. I love
making music and I love singing, but the depth and power of music lies in how it brings people
together. It’s a blessing to be a vessel for that.”
Can we expect more music from you in the future?
B: “I have so much music lined up for the remainder of 2022 and for years to follow!”
What are some of your biggest goals for your music career?
B: “I dream really big. I want to sell out arenas one day, and I want to become a mogul on the
business side as well.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
B: “I’m active on all social media. You can follow me through the handles below!”
