This young actress just nailed her first Pixar feature!
Ava Morse quickly gained our attention in her roles on some of our favorite shows, from NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” to HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere”. She is recently making headlines after her newest Disney role as ‘Miriam’ in Disney’s ‘Turning Red’!
Q: We had the amazing honor of talking with Ava on her first role, favorite actress, and more!
A: “When I was 5 years old I was watching TV and something about being on screen clicked for me and I pointed to the TV and said, “I want to do that!” I booked my first professional theatre role at age 6 and have been fortunate to have been working ever since.”
Q: Tell us about your amazing new character ‘Miriam’ in Pixar’s “Turning Red”.
A: “Miriam is the ideal best friend, who is always there for you and always knows how to have a good time. Miriam came easy to me, I was basically just being an exaggerated version of myself!”
Q: Do you think you have anything in common with your character?
A: “Yes, for sure! I love my friends and I would do anything for them just like Miriam.”
Q: You are now a part of the Disney family! What is your all-time favorite Disney TV Show?
A: “My all-time favorite Disney TV Show is Liv & Maddie. I am a huge Dove Cameron fan and I am obsessed with her.”
Q: You have also released a lot of music; What has been your favorite single so far and why?
A: “My favorite single so far would have to be Games because it was a much different vibe than my previous work and I am proud of myself for taking that step.”
Q: If you could collab on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
A: “I would love to write a song with Taylor Swift…classic answer. I would love to produce a song with Chase Atlantic, I am a huge fan of theirs. And I would love to record a song with Isaac Dunbar.”
Q: Can we expect more music from you in the future?
A: “Yes, for sure! Games was released two years ago and I have grown and gone through so much since then and I am so excited to share some new stuff with you in the near future.”
Q: What is some advice you would give to young girls wanting a career in this industry?
A: “My main piece of advice would be to put yourself out there and stop caring about what other people think. It is much easier said and done but you will find so much more success once you are able to achieve that.”
Q: What are some of your biggest goals for your career?
A: “Some of my biggest goals for my career are for singing is to go on tour. It sounds like such a fun experience being able to connect with fans around the world. For acting my goal is to book a thriller/horror/action movie type thing. That would be much different than anything I have done before. I love watching those movies and would love to see myself doing that.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
A: “Follow my Instagram @avelorrenmorse.”
