This young actress is already a favorite on our screens!
You may recognize Lane as her amazing role as ‘Young Darcy’ in Nickelodeon’s popular show “Drama Club”. We had the amazing opportunity of talking with Lane on her advice to young actresses, hobbies, and more!
Q: What advice can you give to inspiring actresses?
L: “My advice to young aspiring actresses is to never give up. Never stop trying if it’s something you really want to do. I recently booked an amazing role that I’m excited about, but I can’t share just yet.”
Q: Who are your role models in this industry?
L: “Jessica Darrow, who plays Luisa in the movie Encanto – I think that Luisa is a really funny character and Jessica Darrow was the best voice for her! I also look up to Sabrina Carpenter – I love watching her on “Girl Meets World.” I really love Dove Cameron as well – my sister and I love the Descendants movies.”
Q: If you weren’t an actor, what would you be up to right now?
L: “Auditions keep me really busy, but if I weren’t acting, I would probably be doing after-school sports – I really like basketball!”
Q: What’s something we should know about the Nickelodeon series “Drama Club” that might surprise us?
L: “Something that is surprising is that the younger version of the main character Mack (played by actress Telci Huynh) was actually played by Telci’s real life little sister, Taeli!”
Q: What lessons has your character “Young Darcy” from the Nickelodeon series “Drama Club” taught you?
L: “Playing Young Darcy was so much fun, and I learned that you should never give up on your dreams. Before getting booked for this role, I auditioned for a lot of parts and got called back many times but wasn’t chosen. Being on Nickelodeon was worth all those rejections!”
Q: What is your favorite Nickelodeon show of all time, and why?
L: “My favorite Nickelodeon show is Drama Club because I was on it!”
Q: You have already been able to work with some impressive names so far in your career. Is there anyone you would love to work with someday?
L: “I would love to work with Jessica Darrow, my friend Brielle Lopez, Sofia Carson, and Sabrina Carpenter.”
Q: How did you first get interested in becoming an actress?
L: “I’ve always been obsessed with reading the credits at the end of shows and movies. I thought it would be so cool to see my own name on the screen. When I first moved to Los Angeles, I met my agent Rebecca, and started auditioning. It was fun, so I kept going!”
Q: Besides acting, what are some of your favorite things to do?
L: “I like to play basketball, swim in the pool with friends, have playdates, and constantly play with my sister Lauren.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
L: “You can follow me on Instagram @laneelizabethrosa.”
