These twins are taking the world by storm!
At just 16 years old, the D’Ambrosio Twins have been seen on our screens several times. From TV Shows to Movies, the girls have shown that they are truly amazing forces to be reckoned with, and we can’t wait to see more from them this year!
We had the absolute honor of talking with the twins on their love of their fans, being starstruck, and more!
Q: When did you first realize you guys wanted to pursue a career in acting?
Chiara: “We started acting in the business at three years old playing young Summer Newman on the “Young and the Restless”. Over that period, I learned that I loved entertaining people and that this was something I wanted to do. My love for this business grew from in front of the camera to behind the camera, and now I am inspired to write my projects.”
Bianca: “Chiara and I began our acting careers when we played Summer Newman on “The Young and the Restless”. I don’t think there is a specific moment for me but acting and being a part of the entertainment industry is all I’ve known, and I could not imagine myself pursuing another career.”
Q: What were your reactions to both being Emmy nominated actresses?
Chiara: “I was in utter shock. I had dreamt of that moment for so long, so when we found out we were nominated, I didn’t know what to do. It is such an honor to be recognized amongst my peers, and something that I will never forget.”
Bianca: “I was speechless! Being nominated for an Emmy was a dream I’ve always had and never thought would come true. Being recognized amongst the television academy as well as my peers is a feeling I can’t describe in words.”
Q: Bianca, can you tell us about your upcoming film ‘Call Jane’?
Bianca: “I play Erin, Kate Mara’s daughter in “Call Jane”. “Call Jane” follows the story of a woman before Roe V. Wade in the 1960s who is unable to obtain an abortion. She discovers an underground group of women who are willing to help her, and she goes on a path to help others. Being a part of “Call Jane” was such an incredible experience. Working alongside Elizabeth Banks, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Mara, Chris Messina, as well as the entire cast and crew on such a powerful movie made the experience even more special.”
Q: Chiara, can you tell us about your upcoming film ‘Bandit’?
Chiara: “Yes, “Bandit” is an action thriller movie starring Josh Duhamel and Mel Gibson. I play Mel’s daughter Jill, and she is a sassy teenager who wants to protect her family at all costs. I had such a fun time filming this movie and I cannot wait for everyone to see it!”
Q: What have been your favorite roles so far?
Chiara: “I have been so thankful for every role, that I cannot decide which one was my favorite! I think every character is unique and was very fun to play.”
Bianca: “This is such a tough question! We are both immensely grateful for each opportunity that we have had that it is hard to choose just one.”
Q: What has been your favorite book from your book club?
Chiara: “We get the opportunity to connect with our supporters on a different level and talk about stories that are monumental to our society. Bianca and I also have the honor to interview the authors that we pick our books from and understand how they crafted their stories. I hope that everyone that joins our book club finds their next favorite read.”
Bianca: “It is hard to choose a favorite from our book club when every book we select is from our list of all-time favorite books! We choose novels that each convey powerful messages and are relatable to the teenage experience.”
Q: Is there anything you guys want to say to your fans
Chiara: “We want to say thank you for always supporting us, it truly means a lot. We also want to encourage people to never give up on their dreams!”
Bianca: “I want to say thank you to every one of you that has followed us on our journey! You all have made our lives better and our experience in the entertainment industry more fulfilling.”
Q: You guys have worked with amazing celebrities; Have you ever been starstruck?
Chiara: “There are so many times when I told myself that I cannot act starstruck in front of these people!“
Bianca: “Of course! It is funny because when I’m on set I don’t get starstruck, but in every other situation, I am.”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your career?
Chiara: “I would love to become a screenwriter! To write films that can make an impact is a goal of mine that I want to fulfill.”
Bianca: “I have a few! I want to director a film and have my sister star in it, as well as write and create my television series. Those two goals are on my list of things I want to achieve in life.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
Bianca & Chiara: “All of our social media platforms are @dambrosiotwins. Thank you so much for the fun interview.
