This young performer is already an elite!
Is there anything this Broadway performer can’t do? From hosting his own show ‘The Early Night Show’ to releasing incredible personal music, we can’t wait to see what other tricks he pulls out of his sleeves.
We had the amazing honor to talk with Joshua on one of his favorite performances so far, a fun fact about himself, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to become a performer?
J: “There wasn’t a specific moment where I realized I wanted to be a performer. Since I was young, I had such a passion for musical theatre and always knew that it was something I wanted to pursue.”
Tell us about your amazing brand-new single!
J: “I’m really excited for the release of Don’t Turn The Lights Off. It’s a fun carnival-game meets horror game type of song and is part of a new musical I’m writing. Fans of Five Nights At Freddy’s and other horror games would love it. I’ve been in the studio working on other songs, including a new song I wrote with the INCREDIBLE Victoria Shaw which I cannot wait to share!”
You have performed several times in theatre. What has been your favorite experience so far?
J: “One of my favorite experiences while performing has to be when I was in the Hollywood Bowl’s Live to Film production of The Little Mermaid! It had such an amazing cast, including Lea Michelle, Harvey Feirstein, Peter Gallagher and more. The best part was seeing Alan Menken perform live!”
You have also worked alongside amazing casts. Have you ever been starstruck?
J: “I have been a little star-struck, especially when meeting Harvey Feirstein and Alan Menken. They are both really inspiring creatives.”
Can you tell us about your upcoming TV show roles?
J: “I’m going to be in an episode in the upcoming season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel! However, I can’t tell you what my role is yet, but it’s coming out soon. I also recorded vocals recently for a new movie-musical which is set to be released on Netflix later this year.”
What is a fun fact about yourself that many of your fans might not know?
J: “I cannot play sports. I tried soccer when I was 5, but knew I would rather be in front of my piano. I wrote a song about it called “The Tonys Are My Superbowl”.”
Can we expect more music from you in the future?
J: “You can! I post my music mostly on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and TikTok!”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
J: “You can follow my journey on my TikTok and Instagram @joshuaturchin!“
