This viral artist is heading straight to the charts!
Ammon first captured the world’s hearts with his sister on the latest season of American Idol. With millions of streams under their belt, Ammon is starting his solo career of music and we couldn’t be more excited!
We had the absolute honor of talking with Ammon on the start of his music career, his songwritting process, and more!
Q: When did you first learn your love of music?
A: “Music has always been a part of my life ever since I was a little kid, but I didn’t really start getting into it until I was 13 yeards old, when I discovered I could write my own music.”
Q: Tell us about your experience on the hit show, “American Idol”.
A: “Being on American Idol was awesome! Not many people get to experience being on a hit show and the lessons I learned from that experience is something I will never forget. The good, the bad, and even the nerves I definitely enjoyed every part of it.”
Q: What has been your reaction to knowing that your voice has been heard by millions?
A: “I think to me it still doesn’t feel real. Like there’s two parts of my life at the moment and my mind can’t grasp the fact that I was on American Idol and people loved the song that me and my sister wrote.”
Q: What is your songwriting process like?
A: “My songwriting process usually starts off with a lot of tunes and ideas in my head that I play with, then once I find the ones I like I piece them together and keep working on it until I have something I really like. It’s a little chaotic, but it’s fun and creative.”
Q: If you could feature on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
A: “If I could feature on a song with any artist, I’d love to sing a song with Pink Sweats or Bruno Mars. Those two are both amazing singers and very good in their own unique way. And that’s what I want to try and find with my music. My own unique style.”
Q: Can we expect more music from you this year?
A: “Yes! There is definitely a lot more music coming this year and hopefully one of them is going to be a hit!”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your music career? Maybe a tour in the future?
A: “A tour 100% is definitely one of the goals, but also making music that doesn’t just sound good, but spreads a good message and gives people something to help them throughout their day that they can connect to emotionally.“
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
A: “You can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter, and Triller @ammonolayan. We also have a website ammonandliahona.live”
