This powerhouse is back on the charts!
Even though this incredible was diagnosed with Tourettes at a very young age, she never let it stop her! With over 1 Million music streams under her belt, as well as a Billboard #1 hit, Harper Starling is back with a brand-new bop.
We had the absolute honor of talking to Harper on all things music journey, her favorite music artist, and more!
Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to start your singing career?
H: “Lady Gaga was headlining at Summerfest. She was performing Born This Way on the piano and it sent chills up my spine. I knew then, that was going to be my calling.”
Q: Tell us about your new single “No More What If”.
H: “No More What If” are words of encouragement to everybody determined to get their voices heard. It is dance-pop, and a tale of a creative young woman who loved her home, but was also hungry for experience and recognition. Basically a documentary of my life. “
Q: What is your songwriting process like?
H: “It starts from my vivid imagination and convincing my left side of the brain to cooperate with the right side…lol”
Q: What has been your reaction to being a Billboard charting artist?
H: “Crazy in the best possible way. I was charting with other artists whom I’ve admired and respected for years. I definitely cried when the single “Euphoria” went to #1 on the dance charts.”
Q: If you could collab with any artist on a single, who would it be and why?
H: “If I had to name just one off the top of my head, it would be Ed Sheeran because not only is he talented and an incredible performer, but in his interviews he’s a very giving and warm person.”
Q: What was working with the award-winning Perry Twins like?
H: “We had such great synergy! Kasia Livingston (who’s also written for Britney Spears and Jessie J) and I co-wrote the song “Euphoria” on the piano, and since I was a fan of the Perry Twin remixes, I played my song for them and as they say the rest is history!”
Q: What is your best piece of advice for fans dealing with Tourette’s?
H: “Embrace it because it makes you unique. I was diagnosed at 8 with it and it led me to where I’m at today. It is a source of strength, not weakness.”
Q: What can we expect from your album releasing in 2022?
H: “The message of empowerment and self-love, wrapped in melodic and hypnotic beats.”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your music career?
H: “My bucket list goals are to win a Grammy, headline at Coachella, have my celebrity crush (Enrique Inglesias) play my romantic interest in one of my music videos, headline a world tour, and get a hug from Lady Gaga.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
H: “All social media links are listed below. Can’t wait for this incredible journey!”
