This full time influencer and businesswoman is one of our favorites!
After only having Tik Tok for only a few years, Taylor has gained nearly 20 Million likes on her social media. She is known for her amazing fashion skills, and of course, her southern charm.
We had the honor of talking to Taylor on all things believing in her fashion style, starting a clothing business, and her family’s encouragement.
Q: When did you first start content creating?
T: “I first started creating content back when tiktok was musically and it just wasn’t as cool. So, I deleted my account and started back up about 2 years ago.”
Q: Did you expect to have so many followers in such a short time?
T: “No, I didn’t expect to gain the followers that I did. Although I’ve always wanted to be a leader, to help younger girls with their confidence, life struggles…ect but It was always more of a dream than a reality. Now I’m living it!”
Q: What inspired the creation of your clothing line “Geaux Savage”?
T: “In highschool everyone always told me I tried too hard, that going to school dressed up cute was “too much” or “too extra”. After listening to that for months, one day I caught myself thinking that I shouldn’t wear this SUPER cute outfit I had planned to wear because everyone at school would have something to say about it. Right then, I knew I had to wear it. So, I put on the outfit, and yes the super cute heels and went to school. Others opinions shouldn’t dictate what you wear, as long as you feel good in it. Why does it matter?
That day I got to school, I noticed girls wearing heels ( which trust me, DID NOT happen at this school) The girls that made fun of me were dressing up, heels, accessories, the whole 9 yards. It continued all year, and at the end of the year at senior assembly I got voted best dressed. That’s when I knew Geaux Sauvage was my next move. Women shouldn’t be afraid to wear something because of what someone else may think. So Geaux is a place made to step out of that comfort zone.”
Q: If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
T: “If I could meet one celebrity, It would be Selena Gomez. She is a perfect representation of what a good celebrity should look like. She’s pure, sweet, kind hearted, and she handles herself in a very classy way. I definitely think I could learn a few things from her.”
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
T: “My whole life my parents have always encouraged me to fulfill my dreams. If I woke up today and told them I wanted to go be in the NFL, they would say: “okay, what do we got to do to get you there.” And for that, they have given me the best thing I could ever ask for.
“You can do anything you set your mind to, we’ve seen it. ” – Mom and Dad Is the best words of encouragement/advice I’ve ever gotten.”
Q: You are a lover of traveling; Where has been your favorite vacation so far?
T: “My favorite vacation so far I would say probably was to the beach in Galveston, TX such a weird place to say right? Out of everywhere I’ve been (which is quite a few beautiful places) Never have I ever had as much fun as I did that week. Being in the ocean, while it was pouring down rain so hard we could barley see, but surrounded by people that I love, laughing our butts off, and getting thrown around by waves. That beats any other Vacation by far.”
Q: What has been your favorite experience as an influencer?
T: “My absolute favorite thing about being an “influencer” is having a platform to help others find their voice, help them get through their rough patch, and or say the things they’re too afraid to say themselves. I get DMS and messages every single day from those who follow me, not only a ton of encouragement which ALWAYS makes me feel good. I also get people coming to me because they’re struggling with something and want my help, advice, or prayer. There is no greater feeling in the world than for someone you don’t know and have never met, but they trust in YOU to speak into their life, or pray over their life. No greater feeling than feeling like you’re making a difference one person at a time.
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
T: “You can follow me on TikTok & Instagram @itstaylorrousseau and Youtube @ Taylor Rousseau.”
