Cassie Marin is definitely not a stranger to the music industry. The singer-songwriter has received over 1 Million Streams on her music, on just Spotify alone! Now, she’s back with new hit “Busy Body”.
We had the absolute honor of talking with Cassie on her music career so far, her goals, and her favorite musician.
Q: What sparked your initial interest in pursuing a music career?
C: “I’ve been devoted to music my whole life so it just sort of blossomed into what I do for a living. No matter what I would be making music, even if no one noticed.”
Q: Tell us about your new single “Busy Body”.
C: “Busy Body” came to life as a freestyle about social media and the paranoia of being watched. It all came together pretty quickly. I was just having a moment and it felt like the song wrote itself.”
Q: How would you describe your music and your sound?
C: “I think I’m a blend of many types of sounds, but overall I’d say my music is a mix of alternative indie pop and R&B.”
Q: What has been your reaction to have already received over a million streams across your music?
C: “I’m very grateful that my music has had the ability to reach listeners from all over the world, it’s a very surreal feeling!”
Q: Do you have a favorite song that you have released so far?
C: “It’s hard for me to have favorites but my last song “Everything You Could Want” is definitely up there for me.”
Q: If you could feature on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
C: “Skrillex, because why not!”
Q: What has been your favorite experience in your career so far and why?
C: “I really love connecting with listeners and performing live. It’s always such a magical experience.”
Q: Should we expect more releases from you this year or the next?
C: “There will definitely be more releases both this year and next!”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your music career?
C: “My biggest goal is to change lives through my music the way music changed my life and was always there for me when I needed support.”
