This young artist is definitely one to know!
Award-Winning singer Trinity Rose is definitely a name to know in the entertainment industry. Not only does she have over 3 Million Streams on all of her music, but she has been adored by everyone, including Grammy Winner Alicia Keys.
We had the honor of talking with Trinity on all things music, best advice, and her journeys on two of the largest singing competitions:
Q: How did your journey in music begin?
T: “When I was 8 years old I decided to sing during my piano recital, one of my favorite songs at the time, “Here Comes the Sun”. After that, my parents started vocal lessons for me and I started songwriting around the same time! I wrote songs for house parties my parents would host and perform whenever I could as a kid.”
Q: What was a more career-influencing experience for you: The Voice or American Idol?
T: “I think they both helped in different ways, because I was the youngest female ever to make it to the blind auditions for The Voice, it gave me some credibility as a young artist. Unfortunately, it never aired, but my episode during Hollywood week did on American idol! I got to happily tell everyone I got the coveted golden ticket out of 100,000 artists who also auditioned so that has given me more recent validation as a performer and vocalist.”
Q: What has been your reaction to seeing your music streamed over 1 Million times?
T: “It’s pretty surreal to see one of my songs get over 8 million streams on YouTube, Spotify & Apple Music combined. I freaked out when I saw the “miss you” lyric video hit over 4 million streams recently. I’m grateful to all the fans who keep listening.”
Q: How would you describe your music voice?
T: “I was classically trained but now I sing more melodic indie pop tones in my music.”
Q: When not creating amazing music, what are your favorite things to do?
T: “I’m a huge fan of baking and cooking whenever I can. I make several kinds of desserts like danishes, lemon bars, beignets and tons of cookies. I even made homemade McDonalds nuggets for my family (ended up loving it more than the original!).”
Q: Who is a musical artist you would love to collaborate with one day and why?
T: “I would die if I were able to collaborate with Paul McCartney! He’s one of the best songwriters in the past century and seems like he loves working with other artists. He’s an idol of mine and hopefully I’ll have the pleasure of seeing him in concert again and maybe meeting him!”
Q: Are there any upcoming projects we should be preparing for?
T: “I just wrote and recorded a mixed Spanish & English song called ‘Tú misma’ that will be released in September of this year it’s so exciting! Over half of my fans are from Latin America and I felt it was important to create this song for them. Most of my audience is younger than me, so I wanted to promote self love and acceptance through this song.”
Q: What has been your favorite song you have released, and why?
T: “I have a soft spot for my song ‘Coughing Up Flowers’, mostly because I spent so much time on it. I wrote it over the course of half a year then took another year to actually record and release it! I love the concept it centers around, the fictional Hanahaki Disease, which is when someone with unrequited love has their lungs fill up with flowers. I’m very happy with the metaphors and imagery Casey Malanuk and I wrote into the lyrics.”
Q: What advice do you have for young girls wanting to become singers?
T: “My best advice I can give is to always take care of your voice. Make sure to warm up your vocal chords often and don’t overexert your voice through yelling or oversinging. Also I highly recommend learning an instrument you can sing with! You can learn to play and sing the songs you love.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
T: “You can follow me on Instagram & tik Tok @trinityroseofficial . My website links to all my socials www.trinityroseofficial.com & you can sign up for my newsletter there.”
