‘Teen Wolf”s Lily Andrew Talks Acting, Family, And Wildflower Sisters Productions

If anyone has been like me, which means re-watching Teen Wolf episodes all week long, then this the definitely the interview for you.

The amazing actress and producer Lily Andrew first captured her heart for her breakout role as the lovable “Lori Talbot” on MTV’s “Teen Wolf”. Now, she has joined forces with her sister Claire Andrew to create The Wildflower Productions, which regularly produces films to absolutely obsess over.

We had the absolute honor to interview Lily on all things acting, working in this industry, and some advice for aspiring creatives:

Q: When did you realize you wanted to be a part of the entertainment industry?

L: “My whole family works in the film industry so we grew up on sets and had highchairs at video village.  My sister and I have been making little home movies since we were kids, recruiting other kids in our neighborhood to be in them, we have just always loved telling stories and performing.  So it’s been a passion for me since I was very little.”

Q: What was your experience playing the lovable character “Lori” on MTV’s ‘Teen Wolf’?

L: “It was amazing, I learned so much on that set from the cast and crew.  We really were such a tight-knit family working together over the years, so getting to play a werewolf and do stunts and wear fangs really was just such a blast, I’ll always be grateful for that experience.”

Q: What inspired you to start a production company with your sister, Claire?

L: “We have been working together on projects since we were toddlers, running around our back yard in costumes with a video camera filming each other.  So as our love of filmmaking and working together over the years progressed it was a natural step for us to form our own company.  We are excited to tell stories that we are passionate about and hopefully inspire other young filmmakers as well.  It’s been wonderful.”

Q: How would you describe your work ethic?

L: “When it’s your dream job, and it’s something you are excited about, it doesn’t feel like work.  It’s amazing how sleep deprived you can be and still get up each day ready and excited for more when it’s working toward your goals on something you are passionate about.  It’s something Claire and I are so thrilled to be doing, so I feel very lucky I get to work hard on things I love.”

Q: If you could choose between acting or producing, which would you choose and why?

L: “I really love wearing both hats on set, and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to experience both.  I believe that the more you understand about each job and department, the better you are at communicating with your crew and creating an empowering work environment.  When I am producing I understand the more technical side of things and when I act I get to enjoy the more creative side.  So it’s a balance I really enjoy.  It’s nice being able to shift focus sometimes and have a more holistic mindset towards the project at hand.”

Q: What current projects are you working on now?

L: “Well one of the silver linings to this past year during the pandemic has been that my sister and I have been working on a bunch of new scripts that we have lined up for shooting this coming year.  We have shot a couple of short films we are now in post production on, and a few features in the works which we are very excited about and can’t wait to share with everyone.”

Q: Is there any advice you could give to aspiring creative young women in the industry?

L: ” Don’t worry about seeming inexperienced.  Learn on the job.  Make mistakes.  Get better.  Then get worse again.  But keep going.  You don’t have to have it all figured out.  If you have the vision, the dream, and the drive then you can achieve whatever it is your are aiming for.  Everyone starts somewhere, so just start.”

Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?

L: “You can follow my production company at @WildflowerSisterProductions and on our website at www.TheWildflowersSisters.com
And I’m on Instagram at @LilyBleuAndrew”
