This teen model is a star in the making!
Having worked with Melissa McCarthy in the Boss Movie, modeled for a variety of designers at NYFW & LAFW, and worked as a national cover model and print model for many magazines, Xoe has been in the entertainment industry spotlight for years.
We had the absolute honor of interviewing Xoe on all things dancing, co-hosting a podcast, and working on growth.
Q: If you could choose between modeling and dancing, which would you choose and why?
X: “I have a very strong passion for both modeling and dancing however, I will have to say modeling because I absolutely love fashion, walking the runway and taking photos. I love how I can really express myself with my fashion and style.”
Q: What inspired you to become an entrepreneur at such a young age?
X: “Being a dancer, I’ve always wanted to wear cute activewear to practice. I thought to myself, many other girls might be feeling this way. So I decided to create an activewear line “Tilt Pretty Activewear” for dancers, gymnasts, and cheerleaders so we can all look cute and do what we love at the same time. My parents also inspired me because they’ve been entrepreneurs all my life. “
Q: What has been your reaction to seeing so much success so far?
X: “Every opportunity that I have received so far has really shown me how blessed I am. I know which path I want to take in life and I’m going to work hard to achieve all of my goals.”
Q: What has been your favorite moment in your career, so far?
X: “I have a lot of favorite moments that are so memorable. I would say it is a toss up between working on the set of The Boss movie with Melissa McCarthy and ripping the runway in LA Fashion Week and NY Fashion Week. Both were amazing experiences!”
Q: Tell us about your newest podcast, “The Pretty Bunch Podcast”.
X: “I am one of the co-hosts of The Pretty Bunch Podcast which is a podcast covering trending news, pop culture, and everyday life. You can watch the podcast on Wild Child Magazine’s YouTube channel. I have also partnered with Wild Child Magazine and I am the host of my very own IG Live show called WCM Live with Xoe Ayana! WCM Live with Xoe Ayana is broadcasted on Instagram and it’s where I get to interview talented kid and teen actors, models, singers, dancers and entrepreneurs worldwide. I have met so many amazing people throughout my journey as the host and I am loving the adventure.”
Q: What advice would you give to any other teenager trying to get a start in the industry?
X: “My first piece of advice to aspiring industry teenagers is to never give up on anything you want to achieve. Consistency is key, so always perfect your craft. There will be obstacles that come your way, but you have to work around them and believe in yourself. Second, don’t focus on negativity or worry about what people negatively say or think about you. They are simply admirers from afar. Third, always stay true to yourself and remain grounded. Remember, you will never be able to please everyone but you can definitely be pleased with yourself at the end of each day. Live by your standards and rules and watch your greatness shine.”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your future?
X: “My biggest goal for the future is to achieve the goals currently on my list. Once I check those off, I will set new goals and repeat. That’s how I continuously grow and it’s been working out great. I don’t focus on one thing only because that’s really basic to me. I like to constantly have new levels to reach so my growth is continuous. So I guess you can say my biggest goal is growth overall. “
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
X: “You can follow my amazing journey on Instagram @xoeayana and @prettybunchpodcast! You can also visit www.tiltprettydancewear.com and check out my amazing line of activewear. “
