Metamorphosis is an incredibly honorable organization started by a small group of teens: Rajvash Kabra, Gaurav Agarwal, Vansh Sovasarua, Aditya G. Arora, Avanya Aggarwal, and Granth Bhalotia.
They have already contributed to their community by hosting frequent donation drives to deliver necessary goods to people/communities that are unable to access them. Their Instagram page is just as helpful, informing others on important issues to be educated on, such as racism and mental health.
We had a chance to talk with the Metamorphosis team on their goals and why they do what they do:
Q: What inspired you guys to create this organization?
A: “The organization was created in order to bring about change, to the society and the world as one. Despite the drawback of being minors stuck amidst a lockdown, the members of the organization wished to use their privilege in a positive manner. Hence, they worked together to form Metamorphosis.”
Q: Where do you see your organization is 5 years?
A: ” We envision our organization as being an influential part of the world, alleviating those in need in various ways as well as spreading awareness on various social issues. These goals, we believe, are a starting point for us to be involved, responsible members of society.”
Q: Tell us about your Donation Drives.
A: “We have successfully completed 3 donation drives as of 10th November 2020. These initiatives were taken in order to contribute necessary items to the underprivileged, such as books and clothes collected by the members, which was done in out first drive. Afterwards in our second donation drive we proceeded with 61 sets of stationary, each containing pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, notebooks and sketch pens. We gave out 100 packs of savory snacks, noodles, biscuits in our last drive.”
Q: Awareness is so important to show the younger generation. What advice would you like to give to teens and younger that want to make a difference?
A: “To those who wish to make a difference, suggest trying to bring on small changes in their homes, schools, or a place close to them with the help of supportive individuals. In addition to this they should have a vision/plan in order to succeed. These are just some ways they’ll be able to start off. We hope that they understand that no one is too young to bring on positivity and change.”
We could not have said it better ourselves. Please follow @metamorphosis.usc on Instagram and let them know if you are interested in donating or being apart of the future.
